Career Day 2015

We had a wonderful Career Day on Friday. Students enjoyed dressing up and sharing their dream jobs with the class--here are some glimpses into the future:

Reindeer Games

Today the first grade students had lots of fun playing 'Reindeer Games.' The students traveled around the classrooms in our wing and had a great time.

The students also made reindeer food and loved a treat of hot cocoa to end our fun filled morning! Thank you all for the donations to make that treat possible!

Poinsettias

Mrs. Donahoe shared the legend if the poinsettia with the class, in true storytelling fashion:

Dreidel, dreidel, dreidel

As Hannukah begins and we learn about this winter holiday the students had fun learning the dreidel game. 

December Theme Days in First Grade

Monday December 15th - Warm up for Winter

Wear a favorite sweater to school today!

Tuesday December 16th - Welcome Hanukkah!

Wear blue and white as we read and learn about

Hannukah traditions.

Wednesday December 17th - Snowman Day

Wear something that is white or has a snowman

on it.

Thursday December 18th - Welcome Christmas!

Wear red and green to spread holiday cheer.

Friday December 19th - Grinch Day

Wear as much green as you can, try out some WHO-inspired hairdos, or wear

antlers like the Grinch’s dog, Max. Be as creative as you would like!

Monday December 22nd - Reindeer Day

Wear comfortable clothes and sneakers to be ready for 

some Reindeer Games.

Tuesday December 23rd - Warm and Cozy Day

Wear your pajamas to school today. No slippers 

please.
