Gingerbread Houses

Just before Christmas vacation the first grade teachers provided all the supplies needed to make gingerbread houses.

This was a culmination of Art and Math units looking at shapes, partners and designs. Many thanks to Walmart and Hannaford for generous donations to make this possible!

The students had a great time decorating and designing their houses!

The results were fabulous!

Oh the weather outside is frightful...

Well, not as frightful as December weather can be! But it was too wet to play outside at recess. We had a wide variety of activities to choose from in the classroom....
