Gingerbread Extravaganza!

We had such a fun day yesterday with gingerbread events and activities all day long!

We listened to Mrs. Field read a story about gingerbread pirates:

The students then got to decorate their own gingerbread man. Thank you Mrs. White for the use of the Art room!

Then it was time for the first of our two gingerbread play performances:

It was a packed house:

 Everyone was so patient while we waited for the performance to begin and super brave to perform loud and proud in front of such a big audience. Great job!

Numbers to 20

Today we began Chapter 7 in Math, working with numbers to 20. We will begin working with a new tool, base ten blocks, to begin thinking of numbers as groups of ten and groups of ones in preparation for adding and subtracting these numbers.
